About The Camps
The coaching staff of Global Hockey is the most highly experienced staff in the Northeast.  All of our instructors have coached and/or played at the NHL, NCAA, USHL, or Elite High School Level.  Coaches who do not participate in our camps are not listed on our brochures.  Our coaches are experienced at teaching hockey skills to all levels of players and have developed a structured, progressive, carefully planned weekly curriculum to insure measurable improvement for each player.  Additionally, Global Hockey staff firmly believes that to best develop each player’s potential, the proper techniques of on ice skills direction must be supplemented by a systematic off ice training and conditioning program suited to the age, level and other individual aspects of each player.

At full day camps the players will participate in two on ice instruction sessions balanced with 2-3 hours of off-ice training each day.  A skills competition will culminate the week.

At mini camps the players will participate in one 2-2 ½ hours of on ice instruction in addition to 1 ½-2 hour of off- ice training.

Many other camps offer 5 or more hours of ice daily, however our philosophy is that it is counter-productive for the skaters to be on the ice that long each day.  Global balances off the on ice and off ice sessions daily to insure that bad habits are not formed which frequently occurs when there are too many consecutive on ice sessions.

Global Hockey conducts a variety of camps covering all aspects of hockey.  Each weekly camp features a theme with specific skills worked on during that week.  All players whether girls or boys at all levels are invited to Global camps.

On the first day of camp, players are broken down by age & ability to make sure each player is receiving proper coaching and instruction.

Camp Discounts: First child is full price and each additional child receives a 10% discount off that camp.  We also offer a multi camp discount. First camp a skater attends is full price and each additional camp that the skater attends is 10% off the lower priced camp.

**Each camper in full week camps must submit completed camp forms for any camp that he/she is attending. All camp forms can be downloaded from the website.

FAQS

What separates Global Hockey from other hockey schools? The coaching staff of Global Hockey is the most highly experienced staff in the Northeast. All of our instructors have coached and/or played at the NHL, NCAA, USHL, or Elite High School Level. When attending a Global Hockey Camp you can be assured that you are getting the coaches who are promised, and coaches who do not participate in our camps are not listed on our brochures. Our coaches are experienced at teaching hockey skills to all levels of players and have developed a systematic, progressive, weekly curriculum to insure measurable improvement for each player. Additionally, Global Hockey staff firmly believes that to best develop each players potential, the proper techniques of on ice skills direction must be supplemented by a systematic off ice training and conditioning program suited to the age, level and other individual aspects of each player. With this philosophy in mind, the Global Hockey Skills Zone developed.

Can you tell me about the Global Hockey Skills Zone? The “Zone” will be inside our facility and provide over 12,000 sq feet of workout space providing our campers an environment of unparalleled off ice training. The facility will be equipped with free weights, slide boards, shooting pits, plyometric zone, Russian boxes, parachutes, bungee cords, and a stickhandling pit which will enable us to train players to the fullest possible extent.

Who can attend your hockey camps? All players whether boys or girls at all levels are invited to our camps. At the younger levels we just ask that each player can skate and stop, and we will do the rest. On the first day of camp the players are broken into groups based on age and ability to make sure each player is receiving the proper instruction. Players are evaluated throughout the week to insure that they are in the proper group based on their ability and daily progression.

How do I know which camp to attend? Global Hockey will offer an array of camps which cover all aspects of hockey. Each one of our camps has a theme, and those skills are the primary focus during that week. However, every camp will strongly emphasize skating which will improve each player’s speed and quickness.

How many hours are the players on the ice each day at camp? Full day campers are on the ice for 3-4 hours. Many other camps offer 5 or more hours of ice, however our philosophy is that it is counter-productive for the skaters to be on the ice that long each day. Global balances off ice and on ice sessions each day to make sure that bad habits are not formed which frequently occurs with too many consecutive on ice hours.

What do you do for goalies? Our goalies will work with the goalie staff separately throughout the week in order to provide the coaches and goalies maximum teaching time. Goalies may seem like targets during games but not during Global Camps. Our ratio of four goalies per instructor during all camps provides each goalie the extensive attention that he/she needs to develop their skill and self-confidence in a very rapid manner for this highly specialized position. At camp, the focus is the technique, speed, quickness and agility of each player in order to maximize individual potential and development.

What is your refund policy? A 50% deposit is required to hold each player’s spot. All deposits are non-refundable after May 1st. Any cancellation prior to May 1st will be subject to a $75.00 processing fee. Refunds or credits will not be issued for campers who are expelled or decide to leave camp. A credit toward a future camp will be issued for players who can not attend camp due to injury. A doctors note will be required as proof of injury. All campers must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of Camp.

Do you offer multi-child discounts? First child is full price, and each additional child receives a 10% discount off that camp. We also offer a multi-camp discount. First camp a skater attends is full price, and each additional camp that the skater attends is 10% off the lower priced camp.

Does Global Hockey do Cori and Sori checks on its employees? Yes. All coaches, instructors, and staff of Global Hockey have Cori and Sori checks.
