Also featuring a current NHL Defenseman who will speak to the players and sign autographs!

As a former defenseman this camp is near and dear to my heart. Unfortunately in many camps, D-Men too often get overlooked and lost in the shuffle. Well not in this camp!! Daily on ice instruction will focus on the nuances of the defense position including: gap control, stick positioning, communication, angling, shooting, outlet passes, pivoting and much more. Additionally, each day players train in the “Global Hockey Skills Zone” progressing through a host of conditioning skills designed to improve shooting, foot work, agility and strength all the while striving to maximize each player’s potential.

In this camp mites and squirts are encouraged to develop their skating, decision making, puck handling, as shooting skills. Age appropriate drills done in small areas complimented by small area games will be emphasized the players need the opportunity to touch/control the puck as much as possible. Various game conditions within small areas will be simulated throughout this camp in order to improve the younger player's understanding of the game as well as their quick decision making skills.
