The Lady Rangers have played the CTNL very tough after two 4+ hour trips down to Simsbury with only one point to show for it. This weekend they had to sit in a car for a couple hours then come out an play at our barn, my my how the tables were turned with the Lady Rangers leading from start to finish keeping at least a 2 goal lead after the first 3 minutes of the game. The 'Red line' of Graf-Walsh-Moran continues to all out assault opposing goalies making it look like a power play when they are on the ice accounting for 3 of the 6 LR goals. The Lady Rangers probably would have shut out the Northern Lights if not for several girls showing up late disrupting the lines/flow of the game, Coach Spillane quickly settled the girls down and they went back to controlling the game. After the CTNL made it 5-3 in the third Marisa Gervasi made an outstanding takeaway, rush and finish to seal the game capping off a string defensive performance by Gervasi, Hanley, McKenna and excellent two way play by Collins and Sullivan. Final score 6-3

U12 Boston Lady Rangers traveled to Marlboro to faceoff against the Minuteman Lady Flames on Sunday. After a slow first two period, the Lady Rangers woke up in the third period with goals by Rachael Lundy and Darby Melia, while threatening to score again in the waining moments of the game in an attempt to tie the game. However, it was too little too late as the girls could not make up the four goal deficit. Although the game was lost 4-2, the girls left with a positive frame of mind going into their final game next weekend before the Christmas break
