LADY RANGER U14'S WIN 4-1
1 | 10 | 10

The U14 Lady Rangers continue to improve and play well as seen in Tewksbury Sunday afternoon. The girls came out flying putting the pressure on the Vipers defense keeping it in the zone for long periods of time. Jackie Eleey started the scoring after Chrissie Walsh picked the D's pocket and slid a nice pass out front. The Rangers put two more goals up in the second going up 3-0 at the half way point on goals from Walsh and a rocket from the point by Evyn Hanley. Jackie Eleey finished the scoring from a nice pass by Liz Collins. The fore-check from Graf, Naduea, Shea, Collins and Walsh was the big difference today. Katie McKennna, Morgan Prendergast and Michelle Monet played strong defense while Erin McGinnis played great in net narrowly missing a shutout with a late goal by the outclassed Vipers. Final score was 4-1.

LADY RANGER U14'S LOSE TOUGH ONE
12 | 16 | 09

In a physical match-up resembling the Charlestown Chiefs vs Syracuse Bulldogs the two teams combined for 21 penalties and who says girl hockey isn’t physical?

Erin McGinnis was simply outstanding only letting one goal to the highest scoring team in the league as strong defense and goal tending continue to carry the U14 Lady Rangers. Excellent defense resulted in the Lady Rangers killing off 11 penalties – can’t say enough about the defense being played from – Katie McKenna, Leanna Healey, Jackie Nolan, Evyn Hanley, Marisa Gervasi and Michelle Monet. Plenty of pressure was provided from Chrissy Walsh - Liz Collins – Jackie Eleey line on the Lady Ranger power play opportunities but simply could not put one past the great goal tending of Cape Cod. With just over two minutes to go the Lady Rangers went on the power play and pulled the goalie for an exciting finish that included hitting one post and watching the puck trickle off the Cape Cod goalie just wide of the net. In the end the Storm got an empty net goal after the Rangers threw everything they had at them in an outstanding TEAM effort resulting in a hard fought 2-0 loss to the first place Cape Cod Storm at Bavis Sunday.
