vs Bandits
(W 7-0) |
| Sunday,
November 28th |
There was no doubt in this game, Defensemen,
Steve Ceriani, Griffin Lynch, Ryan Wetterberg, Andy
Karalekas and Conner O'Toole were outstanding in shutting
down the Bandits. Pat Tevenan could have taken a period
off to get a pizza the way the D played this game by
cutting down shots and controlling the puck. When the
Bandits finally got by the D, Pat Tevenan was waiting
their to shut down their effort. Forwards went to work
right away in the 1st period with AJ Currie scoring
after receiving a pass from Elliot McLeod and Michael
Nisbet. Despite being a man down Jake Brennan scored
two goals, one assisted by Griffin Reed and the other
goal being unassisted. Aj Currie gets an unassisted
goal in the 2nd period and in the 3rd, Aiden Joyce scores
after receives a pass from Paul Cunninham and Harrison
Reed. Steve Ceriani goes end to end after receiving

passing by all. |

vs Islanders
(W 5-3) |
| Saturday,
November 27th |
ISLANDERS were looking for revenge after
the Rangers beat them 9-2 a week ago. Islanders came
out flying and scored first. Defensemen Andy Karalekas,
Steve Ceriani, Tom Feeney and Connor O'Toole were tough
to beat after the first score. However Michael Nisbet
scored minutes later after receiving a pass from Griffin

Keefe tied the game up again after AJ Currie fed him
a pass out from the corner. In the 3rd, Rangers came

later AJ Currie gets the 4th goal for the Rangers after

from the Islanders. Brennan scores the final Ranger
goal after defensmen, Tom Feeney and Ryan Wetterberg

the Aiden Joyce, Harrison Reed and Elliot McLeod in
order to keep Islanders in their own end.

vs Capitals
(L 0-4) |
| Friday,
November 26th |
Pat Tevenan was outstanding in net, as
usual. Both teams battled back and forth until late
in the 2nd period when Capitals broke the 0-0 tie with
a deflected shot that slipped by Tevenan.
With 9 minutes left in the third Capitals extended
the lead to 2-0 when the shot on net bounced above Tevenan's
head and dropped behind him after he shut down the initial
2 on 0 breakaway. In the 3rd Rangers lost Steve Ceriani
and Elliot McLeod for the remainder of the game after
they both suffered injuries. Later in the 3rd Capitals
picked up a lose puck in front of Tevenan and extended
their lead to 3. Capitals picked up an empty net goal
to close out the game. The score certainly did not reflect
the way the team played against this very good Capitals
Team. The team played well considering we were missing
both speedsters, Jack Garvey and James Sandison. Harrison
Reed and Elliot McLeod played as hard as they could
in order to help fill in for Garvey and Sandison.

|
vs Terriers
(W 7-2) |
| Sunday,
November 14th |
The last time these two teams met it
was a defensive battle that ended up with a 2 - 2 tie.
This game was different. The Rangers came out flying
after coming off a big win over CDL the night before.
Pat Tevenan shut down the Terriers immediately. Griffin
Reed started the scoring in the 1st period with an assist
from Aiden Joyce and James Sandison. Jake Brennan scored
4 minutes later assisted by Andy Karalekis and Quinn
Foreman. Aiden Joyce ended the period with a goal of
his own assisted by Griffin Reed and James Sandison.
Steven Ceriani started the 2nd period with a goal after
receiving a quick pass from Paul Cunningham. AJ Currie,
Jack Garvey, Derek Mullahy, Elliot McLeod, Harrison
Reed swarmed the Terriers every time they had the puck.
This allowed their teamates to pick up the puck and
capitalize with a goal. Terriers scored later in the
period but Tom Feeney broke up another Terrier threat
and handed off the puck to Griffin Lynch which sent
Lynch rushing up the ice and put another goal by the
Terriers goaltender ending the 2nd period. At the beginning
of the 3rd period Ryan Wetterberg stopped a breakout
by the Terriers in the offensive zone and he fed Lynch
for Lynch's second goal. Tradegy struck the Rangers
when Quinn Forman suffered a broken wrist and had to
leave the game. Team will miss Quinn and can't wait
for his return. With two minutes left in the game Terriers
slipped another goal by Tevenan. Steve Ceriani had the
final goal with a great shot from the point to end the
game. Great job team.

Jr Terriers (W 4-0) |
| Sunday,
September 26th |
Another shutout for Pat "Steel Curtin"
Tevernan. Thousands came out to watch this riveralry
between the Rangers and Terriers and the fans were not
dissapointed. One fan was overheard saying, "Tevernan
is a machine, no human can move that fast". NESN
was there covering the game and interviewed Tevernan
afterward, he like Currie the night before was very
humble by saying, "this is a total team effort,
I can't do it without the great defense of Andy Karalekis,
Quinn Foreman, Ryan Wetterberg, Tom Feeney, Steve Ceriani
and Griffin Lynch and the back checking by forwards,
Elliot McLeod, Griffin Reed and Michael Nisbet.
Late in the first period after a fierce battle by both
teams, Jack Garvey breaks open the scoring with a blistering
shot on a pass from Paul Cunningham and Aiden Joyce.
Early in the second period Steve Ceriani scores top
corner from the blue line after a pass from Reed and
Nisbet. McLeod goes out in the second after a frustrated
Terrier player takes him down but not before McLeod

Bandits (W 6-2) |
| Saturday,
September 25th |
The Bandits came out flying and quickly
got up 2-0 within first three minutes of the game. Rangers
did not give up and within minutes AJ Currie blasted
one by the Bandits goaltender after receiving a great
pass from Jake Brennan. At the beginning of the second
period Currie put another one in to tie the game after
receiving a quick pass from Aiden Joyce.
Defensmen, Ryan Wetterberg, Griffin Lynch, Quinn Foreman,
Andy Karalekas, Tom Feeney and Steve Ceriani were unbelievable
by shutting down this very fast Bandits team as they
crossed into the defensive zone. If the Bandits got
by the defense they had to face "The Steel Curtin"
between the pipes for the Rangers, Pat Tevernan. Pat
was outstanding as usual. AJ "Ovechkin" Currie
exploded with three more goals against the Bandits in
the second period. During Currie's interview with ESPN,
Currie stated, he would not have been able to score
these goals without the hard work of his forward teammates,
James Sandison, Aiden Joyce, Jack Garvey, Griffin Reed,
Michael Nisbet, Jake Brennan and Paul Cunningham. Steve
Ceriani added a sixth goal in the third with an "Orr"
style rush from one end to another. Harrison Reed, being
pulled up from the minors, was a relentless forechecker
throughout the game. Bandits forward, Weeks stated that
he was going have nightmares about little Ranger player
attacking him every time he got the puck. Harrison says
he learned everything from his brother Griffin.

Flames (W 2-1) |
| Saturday,
September 12th |
After coming off an impressive win the
night before, the Rangers came out early in the morning
a little flat-footed and found themselves down quickly
with a goal by the Flames within the first 2 minutes
of the game.
Defensemen, Lynch, Ceriani, Feeney, Forman, Karalekas,
Wetterberg and Goaltender Tevernan made sure that was
the last goal for the Flames for the day. Rangers tied
up the game in the second period with an unassisted
goal by AJ Currie after beating a couple of defensmen
and blasting a shot top corner. The forwards, Sandison,
Brennan, Reed, McLeod, Garvey and Cunningham peppered
the Flames goaltender with all kinds of shots throughout
the game. With ten minutes left in the third period,
Aiden Joyce receives a great pass from Cunninhgham and
he puts a blister by the Flames goaltender to give the
Rangers a 2-1 lead. With the Flames down 2-1 they pulled
their goaltender and were coming down hard two on one
when Joyce speeds back to cover the open Flames player
and intercepts a pass ending the Flames last chance
to tie the game.
Great weekend opener for this very young team. |
