Not even the Blizzard of 2009 could slow
down the 96 Rangers this Sunday versus the BayState
Breakers. Under the supervision of Head Coach Matt Smith
and his subtle yet significant moves, the Rangers won
convincingly 9-3. When interviewed after the game, Coach
Smith commented, "I hope you took notes tonight.
How one adjustment makes a huge difference. Have to
go almost crashed patting myself on the back!!!!!!."
Tommy O'Brien tallied 6 points with 4 goals and 2 assists,
while Danny O'Brien, Robert Cameron, DJ Goldstein, Adam
Foley and Patrick Colpoys each scored a goal each. Charlie
Blackington had two assists, while Toby Sandblom turned
away 28 Breaker shots. The Rangers will next play in
the Boston Junior Terrier Holiday Classic next weekend
in Canton. |

After a hard fought tie versus NECDL
last weekend, the 96 Boston Little Rangers notched their
12th vicory of the season with a win over the Boston
Jr. Terriers with a 3-1 victory Sunday afternoon to
improve to 12-2-2 on the season. In the first period,
the Rangers swarmed all over the Terriers with 18 shots
on net, but were only able to put 2 past the Terriers
goalie. The Terriers pulled to within one goal in the
second period on a 5-on-3 powerplay goal, but the Rangers
put the final nail in the coffin in the third period
by netting their third goal. This weekend the Rangers
will face cross-town rival, theBay State Breakers, on
Sunday night.
