Global Hockey holds its first round of tryouts for the 2010-2011
season during February Vacation. This will be done for several
reasons. First, the past couple of seasons our tryouts have conflicted
with other program tryouts. This will provide the players and
parents who know they definitely want to play Global Hockey next
season an opportunity to get into the league early and not need
to spend tryout fees on other programs. Second, many people vacation
in early April so families can take advantage of the tryout in
February and not worry about missing tryouts.
The tryouts will be for the Squirt, Pee Wee, and Bantam divisions
only. The Mite tryouts will take place in April. There will be
up to a maximum of 25% of the spots filled in each league after
February tryouts so that in April plenty of spots will still be
available.
After the tryout each player will receive one of two letters.
The first could be an acceptance letter. If you would like to
accept your spot in the league, you must fill out the enclosed
contract and zero tolerance policy, and mail the forms in with
a deposit securing your spot. If the forms and deposit are not
received your spot will not be held. The second letter could be
a waiting list letter. This would state that we were unable to
accept you into the league at this time however you are invited
back to the April tryouts at no additional cost and will receive
a definitive answer after that tryout.
There will be a limited number of tryout spots available in each
division during the February time frame. Tryout applications will
be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Tryout time assignments will be
mailed out one week prior to tryouts.
